A blank page
The March Quilt Page hasn't showed up in my mind yet. How about "Blank page" as a theme? How would I go about doing that? Reminds me of fill-out forms with blank lines. Now there's a thought! Blank, dotted lines. Boxes for "X". I could do that one in blue as I skipped a colour in the colour wheel and did blues, blue-greens and greens for the February Page.
I will be giving a quilt class for the first time in April.

February page
The focal point of the February Journal Quilt, is a spiral in gold and silver. It is done in transparent overlay, where the metal fabrics are sandwiched between two layers of tulle and then raw edge appliqued on the top of the quilt.
The Penguin Dictionary of Symbols is a wealth of information. I often refer to it, but only afterwards. I don't use it to get ideas but to understand my ideas after I've worked through them.
The Spiral is very interesting. It is a spiritual symbol, symbolizing "the soul's journey, after death, along ways unknown to it, but leading to preordained byways to the central home of eternal being". (p. 909) It "conjures the development of strength or condition", "an open and optimistic motive" and is "linked to the wheel". (p. 908-909)

"Hope of glory"
February quilt page is well under way, being in the second half of quilting. It was supposed to have a blue background but blue didn't fit the design idea so the blues are going to have to wait. Fits my personal agenda as well! Instead it has brigt blues, blue-greens and greens, with a focal point in gold and silver.
The title, "Hope of glory" is part of a sentence from literature that appealed to me. The sentence took on the form presented in the quilt as I thought about it. It is one of those quilts that speaks itself into being. So focused, so clear that there was never a doubt as to how to express it.
