Last minute fireworks
The Swedish Church bulletin covered this story:
Staff at swedish crematoriums are sometimes in danger because of explosions in coffins. Those explosions are on the rise, caused by various objects in the coffins employees don't know about such as pacemakers. The batteries explode in the heat. Relatives of the deceased sometimes sometimes place farewell gifts as well such as bottles of alchohol, gunbullets and even fireworks. There have also been occasions of silicon implants in women's bodies exploding at cremation.
Imagine that! Having you beauty enhancement blow in your face!
I came across this in the morning paper, Morgunbladid. It was a translated abstract from the swedish source. The swedish original doesn't say anything about silicon. But it talks about implanted medication dispensers which are also powered by implanted batteries. I guess the Icelandic translator got something terribly wrong there.
This translator might start a new folk tale, a very modern one.
