Cinderella's shoeA TV preacher said that women are not to wear high heels. The reasoning is that as it distorts the body posture it makes them walk funny. That draws men’s attention to them in a sensual way. That kind of attention is reserved for a woman’s husband. If a woman wants to wear high heels she may do so only to please her husband within the confinement of her home.I wonder if a woman may walk barefoot on her toes in public. The Bible doesn’t say much about shoes. It mentiones shoelaces. There is also an account where a person is told to take the shoes off. Only, it doesn’t say: “Take off thine high heeled shoes.”It’s amazing how much length some men can go in trying to control women’s lifes. Why are they so timid of women? They seem to be particularly worried about women’s sexuality. Does it force them to face their own dark side? This is definitely a control issue. I wonder if the issue is not about controlling women but about men’s fear of loosing control of themselves. If so, then men are making women responsible for men’s behaviour. That’s an old story which repeats itself over and over again. It started in Eden: “She made me.” Posted by Olof I. Davidsdottir 14:27 . . .
