Much a do about a lot of things?

My home is getting a make-over.

Come monday morning, a mason will pour concrete on our kitchen floor and tile our hallway. He said it takes four days. I believe it when I see it. A carpenter will put new glass in a number of windows and built something around pipes in the kitchen ceiling. Then a house painter will come and do a lot of plaster work and paint our kitchen.

Before they can start any of this, we have to pack much of our stuff, clear the kitchen completely, rip of the linoleum in the kitchen and the carpet in the hallway. Then we have to try and make the place habitable again.

We have to move out for a week, at least. I miss my bed already.
