“In spite of a short rehersal period, the band locked together completely and the playing was “world class”. B3 is probably the best working jazztrio in Iceland. A few months ago I was lucky enough to hear the trio play at Kaffi Kúltúr, and I was a different person afterwards. There the trio played mostly funk and blues but they can play anything as they showed on the concert with Ingrid Jensen.”

“The music on “Tónn í tómid” is from the concert of the piano geniuses Agnar Már Magnússon and Ástvadlur Traustason (Zen Buddhist), that they did in the invitation of the musicians union………….First and foremost good piano-jazz.”

“The two years that B3 has been working are years of great progress and on the Reykjavik Jazz festival they were brilliant with the Canadian trumpetist Ingrid Jensen…………The solo lines of Agnar and Ásgeir are many mighty fine, full of fresh ideas and acute lyricism.”

“The solos of Jóel and Agnar were “each one better than the last one”. Haveing such “choice/ electic- men”, Icelandic jazz is in no danger.”

“Agnar Már Magússon has gotten in the league of the foremost piansist of Icelandic Jazz history………..This was not a concert of a singer accompanied by a pianist, there was full equality between Agnar and Kristjana. Agnar’s inventive accompanying and magnificent solos lifted the concert to new heights.”

“Agnar’s solo was souch that a poem dribbled of each note….you could clearly hear that he’s a fully formed artist.”

“ This trio bewitched the audience from the beginning with it’s sophisticated playing…Agnar…improvises a lot in octaves, never plays too much, but refined and tastefully.”
