Uriah Heep - Rock
24. Oct. 2006

Sorry that this is late, I've just been busy as hell writing a 15 page paper or essay or what ever you call it about what medieval Icelanders thought about Arabs. Anyways, in the last music-blog I promised a rock-band so here is one I bet most of you don't know, might recognize the name, doubt you know more. If you know it then I'm sorry for wasting your time and mine.

Uriah Heep was formed in 1969 when Ken Hensley (guitar, keyboards, vocals) joined up with a band named Spice which was formed by David Byron on vocals and Mick Box on guitar. Over the next 20 years nearly 30 musicians joined and quit the band. The band is still at it today and hasn't changed it's lineup since 1986 but of them only Mick Box is from the original band. They were never big in the USA, Easy Livin' was the only song to make it to the top 40 US charts. They became popular in Europe though, but after 1975 their popularity started to slip and the band is a vague memory to most now.

July Morning. A montage to one of Uriah Heep's most popular song, although it has lost a lot of its heart from the album, since the singer is not showing what he really can do.

Easy Livin'. Their only song to reach the charts in the USA.

Lady in Black

The Wizard. TV performance from the German channel 3SAT from the early 1970's

Gypsy. This is the only video posted here with the current lineup. A recent video.
