Everybody is welcome to participate!
All you have to do is: make a little piece of friendship using any kind of needlework you like best and think of friendship while  working. Send it to us here in Iceland. We add the pieces to the website and to the Friendship Tapestry itself.

We have exhibited at The Art Festival Gullkistan at Laugavatn, Iceland 2005 at Nordic Needle in Fargo, North Dakota, USA 2006 and at The Great Fish Day festival at Dalvík, Iceland in 2007  (see news pages)

The Friendship Tapestry is a project with no boundaries. We are over 260 participants from 23 countries in five continents. Each person makes a piece with their favorite needlework method. We tie the pieces together with the knots of friendship and all these pieces link their creators in spirit. By doing this we symbolically connect a net of friendship that covers a large part of our planet.
The Friendship Tapestry is an ongoing project that will hopefully manage to travel and display the friendship, beauty, love and hope for peace along with the talent and variety in needlework, around the globe. There are still more countries we want to get in contact with and many new friends we have not met yet!
